From May 26 to June 11, the Book Fair is held in the Parque del Retiro in Madrid. Of the many gates that the Retiro has, the best for this Fair is the Puerta de Madrid (Paseo de Fernán Núñez 28; Príncipe de Vergara metro, line 2 and 9, and Retiro, line 2).
The first Madrid Book Fair was organized in 1933 as part of the Cervantine week events. Those first booths were installed on Paseo de Recoletos.
At the Fair, you will be able to find out about the latest novelties in literature, buy some books, and even get their authors to sign them for you.
